New GSSA Website

So this is not the most creative or intricate project I have done all summer, but yesterday I mocked up a new website homepage for the Columbus College of Art and Design's Gay Straight Student Alliance. I only had an hour or two to finish it so its nothing amazing, but I figgared I would post it. You should check it out, the flickr link has lots of fun pictures.

Nun Bobble Head Doll

So there are a number of projects that I have decided NOT to put on my website, but that I still want to display online. The Smoking Pregnant Nun Bobble Head Doll is one of these projects. This is the most complete Doll I have left (there were a number of more elaboratly painted Nuns, but they were either sold or given away - I made about 10 in all) What can I say, it makes me giggle. And isnt that really the point of what I do :)

Hasbro Project - finally

So I finally tracked down the image that they used on the CCAD website of my Hasbro Design project (thank you for the help em). I don't have it up on my website as of now - don't really have decent images of it to post - but I thought I would post this pretty image the school took. I will try to get the rest of the project up soon.

More Stuff I Make

I mocked up a box of promotional material to send to a few companies last month. It included some of the pieces I had at the CCAD Directions career fair. Please forgive the quality of these pictures - they are REALLY quick shots I took on a digital camera before I sent this stuff away.

The past month or so I have been keeping busy with freelance (some illustration work, web design for Hamrick Creative and some other small things) but the search for a full time job continues. I have faith :) something will open up soon.

Fun at the Grocery Store

So Im sure this is not news to many people (at least not people who read DieLine regularly) but I have fallen in love with a few retro inspire packages.  General Mills and Nabisco have both released new limited edition packages with vintage simplistic designs.  If only they carried either of these at the Giant Eagle on Neil Avenue!

....

Well at least I have my Giant Cheetos

TAB Buddha

So it took me a while to get these images up (I lost my camera last week) but this is what I was playing with a few weeks ago.  Everyone loves the great taste of TAB :

Trends Project - CSCA Welcome Packet

I spent some time this week finishing up my trends project from last semester.  We created a welcome packet for new CSCA members.  The packet included a large poster of the Columbus Creative Community and a datebook/planner with Columbus festival information and sticker pages.

Victoria's Secret Project

So I spent today cleaning up my room and organizing a bunch of junk I had out from finals.  These are some sketches I scanned in from the Victoria's Secret package design project (which my group and I came in first place - go team)  Im not sure if I can post the actual project - I still have to check what I am allowed to put on my website - but I thought some pages from my sketch book would be okay.

Thursday, April 9, 2009

So I found something interesting when I got the mail today.  It was a plain envelope with what looked like a hand written address label.  When I opened the envelope there was a poorly photocopied advertisement for AT&T covered with blue pen handwritten notes.  Looking closer I could see that all the 'handwritten' elements were digitally printed on the paper.

Does AT&T regularly do this?  Or is this an interesting sign of the economic crisis - playing off peoples desire for corporate fiscal responsibility?  Either way it got my attention.

And this post is a sign that I have too much time on my hands.
