What A Weekend!

This weekend was amazing. After coming home from Christmas with the family, I celebrated my birthday with friends in Columbus. It was seriously one of the most memorable weekends of my life - and I am so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends. I love you all so much. Thank you again.

And Happy New Year!

Puppies

I really want to do a project with dog silhouettes. Its going to happen soon - I will post updates once I figure out what I am doing.

Business Cards

So spring is here - and allergies are kicking my butt. While I spent most of the weekend on the couch watching TV and popping Clariton - I also worked on some sketches for a new project. The business cards are for a Columbus based cosmetologist - and these are some of the early concepts - just having some fun.

See, I promised I would start blogging.

The Sun is Shining - Spring is Here - I Will Start Blogging Again

I have been notoriously bad at keeping up with this blog - and today (for the fourth time) I vow to change that. Within the next few months I hope to revamp the branding on both my portfolio site and blog - but until then please bear with me :)

And since we are talking about redesigns - I thought I would post a link to DieLine.com and their article on the new Sierra Mist packaging. I have to admit I was very excited to see this packaging on the selves when I entered Giant Eagle this morning. While the Pepsi brand has slowly grown on me - I could never get over the terrible "swampy/glowy" Sierra Mist wordmark. This new package may not be perfect but its a step in the right direction.

Updated Portfolio

I spent some time last week updating the website and blog - both in the layout and the images in my portfolio. There is more of my recent design work - so check it out. I am working on a few freelance projects right now (I will have images to post soon)

New GSSA Website

So this is not the most creative or intricate project I have done all summer, but yesterday I mocked up a new website homepage for the Columbus College of Art and Design's Gay Straight Student Alliance. I only had an hour or two to finish it so its nothing amazing, but I figgared I would post it. You should check it out, the flickr link has lots of fun pictures.

Nun Bobble Head Doll

So there are a number of projects that I have decided NOT to put on my website, but that I still want to display online. The Smoking Pregnant Nun Bobble Head Doll is one of these projects. This is the most complete Doll I have left (there were a number of more elaboratly painted Nuns, but they were either sold or given away - I made about 10 in all) What can I say, it makes me giggle. And isnt that really the point of what I do :)
